Location: Sparkhill, B11 Birmingham

Pay Rate: £110 - 125

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Start Date: 05/01/2026

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Are you a HLTA that's passionate about inclusive education? We're working with a welcoming primary school in the Sparkhill area that's seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs. If you're confident delivering targeted interventions and thrive in a nurturing environment, this could be your perfect fit!

You'll work closely with pupils across the school, helping them regulate emotions, access learning, and feel secure and understood in the classroom environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Deliver small group and 1:1 SEND interventions
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to support EHCP targets
  • Lead planned sessions and support learning activities when teachers are out of class
  • Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and inclusion
  • Track progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
What We're Looking For:
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience supporting children with a range of SEND, particularly Autism and Speech & Language needs
  • Confident leading small groups and stepping up in class teacher's absence
  • Strong communication and a calm, nurturing approach
  • Able to commit to a long-term role with consistency and care
