Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA's)

All Year Groups & Key Stages

Location: Medway Towns (Gillingham, Rochester, Chatham, Strood, Rainham) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA's) to join a primary schools in the Medway Towns. You will be working in diverse but supportive environments with teams of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality education to children of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to teach the class in teachers absence
  • Providing support to class teachers in delivering lessons and developing schemes of work
  • Working with small groups and individuals to support their learning and progress
  • Leading whole class sessions and supporting assessment and feedback
  • Assisting in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents on pupil progress
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Support (e.g. HLTA status, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
  • Experience working as an HLTA / Instructor / Cover Supervisor in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and assessment framework
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident
