Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Driffield

Location: Driffield
Pay: £95 – £125 per day (dependent on experience)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, ongoing cover

About the role

We are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a small number of mainstream and SEMH/SEND primary schools across Driffield and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants who enjoy leading targeted interventions, supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, and taking on a senior classroom role while still valuing consistency and local placements.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including targeted interventions
  • Assist with lessons, therapy sessions, and SEND/SEMH programs
  • Implement positive behaviour support strategies
  • Encourage pupil independence, engagement, and confidence
  • Record observations and provide feedback for teaching staff
