Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Full Time Hours

Full Time Long Term – October 2025 to July 2026

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives and helping them reach their full potential? A vibrant and welcoming specialist school in Blackley is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team for a full‑time position. ECTs are encouraged to apply as the school offers a great training programme where you will be enrolled into a Teacher position if successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support classroom learning, assisting with lesson delivery and providing tailored support for students.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement plans for students with additional needs, lead small group activities, and offer one‑to‑one support as required.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of students' progress and assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Take responsibility for 20–40% of classroom teaching where required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent and have experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • A passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
