Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting an Electrical Test Engineer for an established engineering manufacturer in Luton. You will carry out acceptance testing on large industrial motors, collaborating with electrical, hydraulic, quality and production teams.

The role requires a Level 4/5 qualification in Electrical Engineering, high‑voltage awareness, and experience with data acquisition systems and large test set‑ups.

Qualifications

• High-voltage awareness with practical experience.
• Experience with large-scale test set-ups and power systems.
• Experience using data acquisition systems.
• Ability to follow test procedures and quality plans.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out acceptance testing on large induction motors.
• Monitor, record and report data per test plans.
• Complete and log test reports within 24 hours.
• Support development of data acquisition and control systems.
• Maintain calibration and condition of test equipment.
• Adhere to procedures, quality plans and safety standards.
• Coordinate testing schedules for new units and repairs.
• Contribute to testing efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
