Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for an airport operations driver to join our team. You will operate high‑lift vehicles to transport teams, equipment and materials to aircraft, while adhering to airside protocols and safety rules.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, the ability to pass airport security checks and vetting to CAA regulations, and a calm, punctual team player who can work under pressure to tight turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required and airside driving permits may be provided.
• Able to pass airport security checks and CAA-regulation vetting.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Varied shift rota - Two earlies and two lates with two days off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate high‑lift vehicles to transport teams, equipment and materials to and from aircraft.
• Position the vehicle safely and accurately at aircraft stands in line with airside protocols.
• Conduct pre‑use checks, ensuring the vehicle is safe, compliant and ready for operation.
• Work closely with supervisors and operational teams to meet tight turnaround times.
• Ensure all safety, airport security and airside driving rules are followed at all times.
• Report any defects, incidents or operational issues immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and its equipment.
• Support additional operational tasks as required to maintain smooth service delivery.

The ideal candidate:

• Ideal Candidate
• Full UK driving licence (additional airside driving permits provided if needed).
• Experience operating commercial, industrial or specialist vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong awareness of safety, compliance and secure working environments.
• Able to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player with good communication skills.
• Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass airport security checks.
• Willingness to undergo and pass vetting that is to CAA regulations, and security clearance.
