A leading educational recruitment agency in London is seeking a High Level Teacher Assistant for a primary school in Greenwich. The role includes delivering lessons, providing targeted support, and assisting with Special Educational Needs. Ideal candidates will have an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, excellent communication skills, and flexibility to adapt throughout the school day. High Level Teacher Assistant

Location: Greenwich

Contract: Temporary, Full time

Salary: 90- 95 day rate

Are you a confident and experienced education professional ready to step into a flexible and impactful role? We are currently seeking High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich, starting as soon as possible.

This is a designated HLTA role with responsibilities that go beyond typical classroom support, ideal for someone with the confidence and capability to step into a teaching role when required and work flexibly across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering lessons across year groups (EYFS to Year 6) in the absence of the teacher, following planning provided
  • Providing targeted support and small-group interventions under teacher direction
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when needed, both in and out of class
  • Assisting with planning, assessment, and classroom preparation
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff to support high-quality teaching and learning
What We're Looking For
  • A recognised HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level
  • Confidence to lead classes across EYFS to Year 6
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs throughout the school day
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training or willingness to complete it
