Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting HGV1 and HGV2 Drivers for a distribution client in Northampton. This full-time role offers hourly pay from £15.52 to £27.28 with overtime available and roughly 50 hours per week. Shifts run Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with start times between 04:00 and 12:00.

You’ll deliver palletised goods, complete paperwork, perform vehicle checks, and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV1 (C+E) or HGV2 (Category C) Licence is required.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Minimum 12 months’ experience in your licence category.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No CU, DD, DR or TT endorsements.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods across London and surrounding areas, safely and on time.
• Complete delivery paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Follow all driver compliance procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Unloading for HGV1 where required.

The Job

You’ll be delivering palletised goods across London and the surrounding areas, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.

• HGV1: 2-6 store deliveries per shift
• HGV2: 1-2 deliveries and collections per shift

You’ll also:

• Complete delivery paperwork
• Carry out daily vehicle checks
• Follow all driver compliance procedures
• Provide excellent customer service
• Keep cool when someone says, I will not keep you long mate before disappearing for half an hour
• For HGV1 Drivers, truck unloading required
