Job summary

SRG Recruitment Ltd is seeking an energetic HGV Driver (Class 1) to join a dynamic transportation team. You will handle palletised goods, general haulage, and time-sensitive airline cargo across the UK, ensuring compliance with security and driving-hour regulations.

The successful candidate will hold a UK HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and Digi Tacho, ADR, and a clean 5-year work history. Expect thorough route planning, paperwork accuracy, and occasional overnight stays on nationwide routes.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 plus CPC and Digi Tacho.
• ADR Required.
• Knowledge of UK road networks, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Familiarity with vehicle safety checks, load securing techniques, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• A clean 5-year checkable work history to satisfy airport security background vetting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to collect and deliver palletised goods across the UK.
• Transport time-sensitive cargo to airport hubs, complying with security procedures.
• Accurate completion of delivery paperwork including EPOD and CMRs.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS and undertake occasional overnight stays (tramping) as required.
