Qualifications

  • Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with relevant certifications.
  • Experience with double deck maintenance is desirable.
  • HGV licence Class 1 is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications on HGV trailers.
  • Undertake pre MOT checks and necessary repairs.
  • Perform quality checks and present trailers for MOTs.

HGV Trailer Technician

Location: Knottingley

Pay: £38,000 basic

Hours: Monday to Friday days

Overtime paid at 1.5

OTE: £42,000

About your new company

My client is a fleet maintenance company with over 20 depots across the UK. Due to their continued success they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role
  • You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.
  • You will be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
  • You will be required to do QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT’s.
The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require
  • You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers.
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
  • Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Double deck maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Welding experience is desirable.
