Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a trailer mechanic or heavy vehicle fitter with hands-on breakdown repair experience.
• IRTEC certification is desirable or you’re working towards it.
• Heavy Vehicle Level 3 qualification or time-served equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trailers.
• Diagnose and repair faults across braking, suspension, electrical, and bodywork systems.
• Maintain operations to DVSA/VOSA compliance standards.
• Record work accurately so fleet history stays up to date.
• Collaborate with the team to keep vehicles moving.
