Qualifications

  • Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with relevant certifications.
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

My client is a large family run logistics company who have been established over 100 years. My client has won many awards for their outstanding work and boasts a fleet of over 500 vehicles. Due to their continued success, they are now looking for a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role

HGV Trailer Technician duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.
  • Undertake pre‑MOT checks and any required repairs.
  • Perform QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.
Qualifications
  • In‑depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers.
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
  • Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Double deck maintenance experience desirable.
  • Welding experience desirable.
