Job summary

TIP Group in Willenhall is seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Mechanic to inspect, service and repair a range of trailers at our Willenhall workshop. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure trailers remain roadworthy and compliant with safety standards.

The role requires hands-on heavy vehicle expertise, reliability and a proactive safety mindset. We offer a supportive team, training and tools to keep you progressing in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a trailer mechanic/HGV mechanic or similar heavy vehicle role.
• IRTEC certification desirable or working towards.
• Heavy Vehicle Level 3 qualification or time-served experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair HGV trailers.
• Diagnose faults in braking, suspension, electrical and bodywork systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety inspections to DVSA standards.
• Record work accurately and ensure trailers are roadworthy.
• Collaborate with team to keep vehicles moving.
