Job summary

Vmoves is seeking drivers for a nationwide HGV movement role. You will collect, inspect and deliver commercial vehicles, using our app to log conditions and progress. The job offers independent working, a flexible schedule and weekly self-billing payments.

You’ll need a full UK HGV licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card, and you must be able to work in the UK with a clean points record. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DR/CD/DD/TT99 endorsements.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass a DBS check.
• Confident using a smartphone to photograph vehicles and record inspection information.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver HGVs and commercial vehicles safely and professionally across the UK.
• Inspect vehicle condition and record accurate photographs and information using our app.
• Keep customers and planning team updated on progress.
• Plan onward travel between vehicles using trains, buses, taxis or walking.
• Follow road safety, customer and DVLA trade plate requirements.
• Stay overnight or travel as required, up to several nights per week.

Put your HGV license to work in a varied, independent role. Join Vmoves to collect, inspect and deliver commercial vehicles nationwide, backed by an experienced planning team and 24/7 driver support.

WHAT YOU COULD EARN

• £800 to £1,100+ typical weekly earnings


• Up to £60 per night for applicable overnight stays

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Collect and deliver HGVs and commercial vehicles safely and professionally across the UK


• Inspect vehicle condition and record accurate photographs and information using our app


• Keep customers and our planning team updated


• Plan onward travel between vehicles using trains, buses, taxis or walking


• Follow road safety, customer and DVLA trade plate requirements


• Stay overnight or go via home – The movement offered will advise you of the plan, and dependent on where you live and your availability, you may be out overnight up to 3-4 nights per week


• Previous trade plate or vehicle movement experience is welcome but not essential. We provide induction and practical training covering our systems, inspection standards and travelling between movements.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This is a nationwide travelling role, not a depot-to-depot job. Days can include early starts, changing plans, public transport and nights away. It suits adaptable, organised people who enjoy working independently.
