Job summary

Join Volvo Trucks in Washington as an HGV Technician. You will repair and service customer vehicles to Volvo standards, assist with fault diagnosis, and handle paperwork while supporting trainee development in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications include a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, with prior HGV experience or an apprenticeship in the HGV industry preferred. The role involves on-site work in Washington and offers competitive pay with overtime and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
• Keep workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Support the development of trainees and apprentices.

Shifts: 6.00- 14.30 and 9.30 -18.00 Monday-Friday and 1 Saturday in 4 paid at time and a half.

What You Will Do

Qualifications Required

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?
