Job summary

A leading commercial vehicle brand in Cowdenbeath is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for carrying out high-standard repairs, assisting in fault diagnosis, and servicing vehicles. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. HGV Technician – Perth

Salary: Competitive salary – dependent on experience.

Shifts: Dayshift: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday-Thursday; 08:00 – 15:30 Friday. Backshift: 14:30 – 23:00 Monday–Thursday; 13:30 – 21:00 Friday.

What you will do

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process
• Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
• Assist with roadside breakdowns
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
• Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy, and well maintained
• Help support the development of trainees and apprentices

Who are you?

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGV’s?
