Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in HGV mechanics (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - preferred).
  • Valid HGV licence (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance, servicing, and repairs of HGVs and trailers.
  • Perform diagnostic work on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Complete all relevant documentation in a timely manner.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified HGV Workshop Mechanic to join a well-established logistics business based in Worcester. The company operates across multiple depots in the UK and prides itself on delivering a high-quality, end-to-end transport and logistics service. We are looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, well-equipped workshop, maintaining a fleet of predominantly Mercedes and DAF HGVs, as well as tri-axle trailers. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance, servicing, and repairs of HGVs and trailers
  • Perform diagnostic work on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ensure all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements
  • Work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
  • Complete all relevant documentation in a timely manner
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday (rotating shifts):
  • Week 1: 06:00 - 14:30
  • Week 2: 12:00 - 20:30
  • Alternate Saturdays: 07:00 - 12:00
  • On-call rota (additional pay provided)
