Job summary

Truck Doctor Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced HGV/LGV Technician to join our fully garage-based workshop. You will carry out safety inspections, MOT preparations, servicing, and general repairs on a range of large commercial vehicles, with no on-call or off-site work.

This permanent, full-time role offers a clean, modern workshop, a supportive small team and a competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience, with hours 07:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, no weekends or bank

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' on-the-job experience.
• Experience with safety inspections and MOT preparations is beneficial.
• Servicing and general repairs experience.

Job Title: HGV Technician / LGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

Location: Leicester, LE8 6LH - Fully onsite, no travel required

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time - Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:00. No weekend or bank holiday working.

Truck Doctor has been servicing and repairing a wide range of large commercial vehicles for over 10 years, working out of our independent commercial garage in Whetstone, Leicester. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time, minimising down-time and keeping customers happy.

Our team works across all makes and models of commercial vehicles, carrying out DVSA 6-8 weekly inspections, pre-MOT checks and full MOTs, plus major and minor repairs of all kinds. This is a fully garage-based role - there's no attending breakdowns or off-site work, so you can expect a genuine work-life balance alongside varied, hands-on work in a well-equipped facility.

As HGV/LGV Technician, your main duties will include:

• Carrying out safety inspections
• MOT preparations
• General repairs
• Servicing
