Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a commercial vehicle workshop.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Up to £20 per hour + overtime @ time and a half

** £1000 signing bonus** (direct applicants only payable after 6 months service)

Working a rotating shift: Monday to Friday
0600hrs to 1400hrs & 1400hrs to 2200hrs
Alternative Saturday @ time and a half

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our busy workshop at Volvo Trucks Ipswich. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing Volvo commercial vehicles to the highest standards of safety and performance.

Whether you're a seasoned technician or looking to take the next step in your HGV career, you'll benefit from world-class manufacturer training and a supportive team environment.

What will you do

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on Volvo HGVs and trailers
• Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Complete job cards and service records accurately
• Work efficiently and ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
• Maintain a clean, organised and compliant working area

Who are you

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Previous experience in a commercial vehicle workshop (Volvo experience a plus)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering top-quality work
