HGV Technician - Gloucester - £15-£17 DOE + £15 Shift Allowance on Late Shifts

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £15-£17 DOE plus £15 shift allowance per day on late shifts

Hours: 40 per week

Shift Pattern: Rotating: Week 1 - 06:00 to 14:30, Mon-Fri | Week 2 - 14:00 to 22:30, Mon-Fri

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

The Role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our Gloucester workshop. You will maintain, service, and repair HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles to keep them safe, compliant, and on the road. You will work closely with the repair team, plan and diagnose repairs, complete documentation and warranty claims, and provide roadside support as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
  • Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Assist with diagnosing faults and planning repairs
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and complete required documentation
  • Provide emergency roadside repairs when needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment
Skills & Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician with strong technical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
