Qualifications

• Experience working on HGV’s or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
• Ability to carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required.
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Process all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
• Keep all workshop facilities clean and well-maintained.
• Support the development of trainees and apprentices.

HGV Technician - Glasgow West

Do you want towork 3.5 days per week? Would our fantastic shift pattern help your work-life balance?

As part of our team at Volvo you will work a 40.5 hour per week, up to £20 per hour with overtime and quarterly bonus and fantastic earning potential

Shift Pattern on rotational basis

Week 1 Monday - Wednesday 0700 - 1900 | Thursday 0700 - 1300

Week 2 Wednesday - Friday 0700 - 1900 | Saturday 0700-1300

Who are you?

Do you holda Level 3 NVQor equivalent inHeavy Vehicle Maintenanceand have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed anapprenticeshipin the HGV industry?

What will you be doing

The Role – some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process
• Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
• Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
• Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
