Job summary

Cormac operates their own in-house vehicle and plant maintenance workshops with locations in Cornwall. We seek an HGV technician to service, inspect, prepare MOTs and maintain primarily commercial vehicles for diverse fleets.

The role involves overtime, an on-call rota, and accurate documentation within our zero harm health and safety policy. A full UK LGV licence is desirable; NVQ 3 or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent.
• Must provide own comprehensive toolkit (Cormac provides large tools and equipment).
• Be prepared to work overtime and be part of an on-call rota.
• Good communication skills, and strong numeracy and literacy levels.
• A full UK LGV driving licence is desirable and competence in electronic fault diagnosis is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, perform MOT preparation and maintain mainly commercial vehicles.
• Work overtime and participate in an on-call rota as required.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely in line with health and safety policy.
