Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking an HGV Technician in Sheffield to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of over 100 vehicles. The role offers a salary of £44,400 along with an overtime rate, Bank Holiday bonus, and additional benefits. Ideal candidates will have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, an NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, and a passion for vehicle repair.

In return, you will enjoy 25 days of annual leave, pension access, and ongoing training opportunities. The position includes shift patterns from 06:00–14:30 and 13:30–22:00.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician.
  • HGV driving licence (desirable).
  • Experience with electronics, hydraulics, and welding.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the Veolia fleet and third-party vehicles.
  • Run diagnostics on vehicles using various equipment.
  • Perform hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs.
  • Work within Health & Safety regulations.
  • Carry out HGV MOT inspections.
