Qualifications

  • Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance on trucks and components.
  • Valid Driving License is required.

Responsibilities

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Shift: Week 1 Monday to Thursday 17.30pm - 6.00am, Week 2 Tuesday to Friday 17.30pm - 6.00am

Type: Permanent Location: Halesowen

We are looking for a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our client one of the UK's leading manufacturers.

Job Responsibilities
  • You’ll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • You’ll work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • You’ll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • You’ll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • You’ll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry.
  • Valid Driving License
