Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician is beneficial.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude with focus on customer service and safety.
• A full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs according to manufacturer procedures, safely and responsibly.
• Use Volvo Standard Times and Volvo Special Tools where appropriate.
• Assist in fault diagnosis process.
• Comply with warranty procedures on completion of repairs.
• Work with Parts Team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence).
• Assist with roadside breakdowns when needed.
• Complete service sheets and ensure time recording is accurate.
• Report all vehicle defects to workshop controllers.
• Keep workshop facilities and tools clean and maintained.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Support development of trainees and apprentices.
