HGV Technician – Wolverhampton – From £19 per hour – Full-Time (37.5 hours) – Temp to Perm

Immediate Start | Commercial Vehicle Maintenance | Workshop Technician | Fleet Support

Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced HGV Technician. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role on a temp to perm basis, offering a competitive hourly rate and long-term opportunity within a professional workshop environment.

From £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

Shift pattern: 07:00am – 16:30pm

Temp to perm contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
  • Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Complete inspections in line with DVSA and company standards
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all work is documented accurately and efficiently
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures within the workshop
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Liaise with supervisors and colleagues regarding vehicle status
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
  • Recognised qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HGV diagnostics, servicing and repairs
  • Ability to work independently and follow workshop procedures
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills
  • Class 1 or 2 HGV licence beneficial but not essential
