Job description

We are currently seeking a Night Shift HGV Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive Commercial Dealership based in the Heathrow area. The successful HGV Fitter can expect a salary of up to £44,720 with working hours of Monday to Friday 8pm – 6am.

Our client is looking for a Night Shift HGV Technician to join their busy team. This is a full‑time position and we are looking for individuals with previous working experience in the role.

Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles
  • Perform routine inspections, including tyre rotations and oil changes
  • Diagnose faults using current diagnostic tools and methods
  • Maintain accurate records of repair work carried out
  • Manage inventory and ensure workshop cleanliness
  • Provide emergency roadside repairs when required
  • Complete all appropriate documentation and warranty claims
  • Support junior team members with technical training and guidance
Requirements
  • Level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds or IMI) qualification in HGV vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Proven experience in heavy vehicle repairs and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
  • Full UK driving licence suitable for HGV vehicles
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative
