Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the vehicle servicing or fleet maintenance industry.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential.
  • HGV Class 2 Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical work on HGVs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose faults and perform the required repairs.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Road test vehicles following repair work to confirm successful completion.
  • Deal with unscheduled repairs as they arise.
  • Fit and service vehicle accessories such as alarms and radios.
  • Complete routine servicing and maintain accurate service records.

HGV Technician

Salary: Circa £40,000 DOE + overtime
Hours: 45 per week, 07:30-17:00, Monday‑Friday
Start: ASAP
Contract: Permanent (6‑month probation)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well‑established and growing organisation offering a wide range of fleet services. This is an excellent opportunity with long‑term career development potential.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles to a high standard. Working within a supportive team environment, you will ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical work on HGVs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Diagnose faults and perform the required repairs
