Our Client, a commercial Vehicle Main Dealer with over 30 years of trading, is seeking an HGV Technician for their Night Shift in Portsmouth.

They deal with Haulage Businesses and Commercial enterprises, providing excellent service whether purchasing or maintaining vehicles, for individual customers and large companies. The parts team’s expertise is crucial to the business's success.

Duties of a HGV Technician
  • Carrying out vehicle repairs as per manufacturer procedures within standard times
  • Vehicle inspection
  • General servicing
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Repair of vehicle defects
  • Road testing vehicles
  • MOT preparation and presentation
  • Breakdown/roadside assistance and call-out duties
  • Completing all paperwork accurately
What our Client expects of their HGV Technician
  • Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in a similar industry
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to follow instructions
