Job summary

A well-established commercial vehicle maintenance company in Ivybridge is seeking an experienced HGV Technician. You will perform a full range of diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. This position operates Monday to Friday, offering a stable work environment without late shifts or night work. Strong fault-finding skills and a good work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• HGV licence would be a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on a range of HGVs.
• Fault diagnosis using modern diagnostic equipment.
• MOT preparation and inspections.
• Ensuring vehicles are compliant with DVSA standards.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and service records accurately.
• Supporting the workshop team and working collaboratively.

Working hours
