Job summary

A leading company in the automotive services sector is looking for an experienced HGV Technician for their depot in Newbury. This full-time, permanent role requires a qualified individual to perform vehicle inspections, repairs, and MOT preparations, contributing to the maintenance of high service standards. The successful candidate will have proven experience, ideally hold an HGV licence, and work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent).
• Previous relevant experience in a similar industry.
• Full driving licence; ideally includes HGV licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections and general servicing.
• Diagnose faults and repair vehicle defects.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and conduct road tests.

We are currently assisting our client who is looking to hire an experienced HGV Technician for their Newbury Depot.

Duties will include:

• Vehicle inspection
• General servicing
• Fault diagnosis
• Repair of vehicle defects
• Road test vehicles
• MOT preparation/presentation
• Potentially some roadside assistance required
• Completion of all required paperwork accurately

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three of equivalent).
• Have previous relevant experience gained in a similar industry.
• Have a full driving licence, ideally include HGV Licence
