Location: Leeds

Salary: £44,460 - £46,930 pa + overtime at time and a half

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a growing drainage and waste management business based in Yorkshire.

You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of specialist tankers, HGVs, and plant machinery, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.

The Role
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on tankers, vehicles, and plant equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Complete pre‑PMI checks to ensure safety and compliance
  • Perform minor accident repairs when required
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
About You
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle and plant maintenance procedures
  • Confident diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to high‑quality workmanship
  • Full UK Driving Licence (HGV desirable)
  • Experience working on tankers / drainage vehicles (desirable)
Pay and Hours

Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm

£44,460 - £46,930 pa

Overtime available at time and a half
