A well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business is seeking an HGV Technician for a full time, permanent role in Exeter. The successful candidate will conduct vehicle inspections, repairs, and servicing. Relevant industry qualifications and apprenticeship experience are essential. This position offers a financial package of £46,046 plus overtime, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including ongoing training, strong pension scheme, and medical insurance.

Qualifications

  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' license requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection.
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation.
  • Updating all required paperwork/databases.

Depot Location: Exeter

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off 6am to 6pm

Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role

Financial Package: £46,046 + OT = £50,000 Per Annum

My client, a well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician on a day shift.

Working in an established team of HGV Technician, you will be required to undertake the following;

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation
  • Fault finding & diagnostics
  • Updating all required paperwork / databases

The successful HGV Technician will have the following attributes;

  • hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
  • A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
