Job summary

Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd is seeking experienced Plant Fitters to service and repair mobile concrete pumps, HGVs and related equipment across the UK, with depot work in Epping. The role reports to the Operations/Service Manager and focuses on servicing to manufacturers' specifications while maintaining safety standards.

Key requirements include CSCS, HGV fitter experience, and ideally an HGV licence class 2; welding, fabrication, hydraulics and electrical knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• HGV Fitter experience required; training available to maintain pumps.
• CSCS card required.
• Ideally hold HGV licence class 2.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Fabrication skills desirable.
• Hydraulics knowledge needed.
• Electrical/truck lighting knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and servicing Mobile Concrete Pumps, Static Plant, HGVs and Motor Vehicles.
• Carry out scheduled service inspections and servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.
• Attend client sites to fix malfunctioning plant and equipment including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Perform spot-checks on Mobile Plant to ensure daily maintenance by operators and report issues.
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards in workshop and on customer sites.

A bit about us:

Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd is the largest concrete pump hire company in the UK. Camfaud employs over 300 staff across various depots across the UK and due to our continued expansion, we are actively seeking Plant Fitter to join the team.

The role

We have a large fleet of Mobile Concrete Pumps, Static Plant, HGVs and Motor Vehicles across the UK that requires maintenance and repairs. We are looking for experienced Plant Fitters to predominantly service, maintain and fix our mobile concrete pumps in our Epping. depot.

Reporting to Operations/Service Manager the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a wide range of plant equipment and vehicles in accordance with Company and Manufacturers Service Schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and Servicing Mobile Concrete Pumps, Static Plant, HGVs and Motor Vehicles.
• Carry out scheduled service inspections and servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.

Responsible for attending client sites to fix any malfunctioning plant and equipment including, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

• Perform spot-checks on Mobile Plant to ensure that all operators do the basic daily maintenance and report issues on their daily checks.

Following safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work both in our workshop and at customer sites.

Maintaining knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in relation to your role.

Undertaking regular relevant maintenance procedures to ensure the plant serviced in line with protocols.

Following up site based remedial work in the workshop to ensure the longevity of solutions.

Ensuring issues that are solved remain operational with minimum interruption of service.

Building relationships and working effectively with contractors and clients under time critical conditions.

Representing Camfaud Group in a professional and knowledgeable way.

Any other tasks as required by the Operations Manager/Service Manager.

Requirement:

• HGV Fitter Experience We can teach you the how to maintain the pumps, so you can become a Allrounder.
• CSCS card.
• ideally HGV Licence class 2.

• Electrical/truck lighting.

Hours:

7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive with a lunch break of one hour.

Two Saturdays a month 7:00am to 12:00pm Overtime is times the hourly rate.

Company van to be used for breakdown cover.
