Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an HGV Motor Technician to work in a close-knit team in London. You will be responsible for repairing a variety of vehicles to a high standard, including mechanical repairs and bodywork. Ideal candidates have experience in a Bodyshop setting, great attention to detail, and must be fluent in English. Competitive salary and a dynamic work environment await.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs including air conditioning, radiators, and suspension.
  • Experience in Bodyshop and working on various vehicle makes and models.
  • Capable of working to a job card and completing tasks within the estimated timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles to high standards.
  • Manage a high workload effectively.
  • Photograph and document each stage of the repair process.

Job description
HGV Motor Technician - Middlesex UB2

Due to our continued growth, we're looking to recruit somebody who is passionate about their job & enjoys working within a close-knit team. We repair some of the most innovative vehicles ever made. You must be energetic, highly organised and smart working & have a real passion for delivering great quality repairs.

The Job Role
  • Competently dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles to an exceptionally high standard,
  • Responsible for strip and fitment of all mechanical, electrical and trim components.
  • Must have the ability to do mechanical repairs - aircon, radiators, suspension, etc.
  • Be comfortable working on a wide range of vehicles (Repair all makes/models of cars, vans, HGV's, etc.),
  • Able to have/complete a lot of Bodyshop experience and with the mechanical ability with heavy suspension.
  • Ability to do geometry's and ideally glazing
  • Have the ability to work to a job card within the estimated time frame,
  • Photograph & record each stage of your repair process,
  • Perform road tests (where required),
  • Work must be carried out to BS1015 accreditation.
Experience and skills to include
  • Must be able to prioritise your work in a fast-paced environment and manage a high workload,
  • HGV background Bodyshop all makes & models.
  • Follow correct repair methods,
  • Reliable & self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude,
  • Exceptional attention to detail,
  • Very good written and spoken English is essential.
Qualifications such as ATA/IMI/NVQ/VCQ would be an advantage.
