Job description

HGV Technician / Mechanic

Location: Nuneaton

Salary: £46,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus (£1,000 after 6 months + £1,000 after 12 months)

Overtime: Plenty available

Hours: Flexible shifts available: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm
Standard 1-hour lunch (option to shorten for an earlier finish)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT preparation, servicing, and defect repairs on trailers
• Inspect, maintain, and repair to a high standard
• Complete all paperwork and compliance records accurately
• Follow health & safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Support wider workshop tasks as needed
• Deliver excellent customer service while working to deadlines

About You

• Ideally Level 3 qualified (not essential)
• AIT qualification desirable
• Experience working on trailers or HGV vehicles
• Welding experience is a bonus
• Strong communicator with a positive, professional approach
• Organised and reliable
