Our client is an HGV dealership with several depots across Southeast of England. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Service Advisor / Service Advisor / Automotive Service Advisor to join their friendly Heathrow depot.

Job Overview

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the customer’s main point of contact for vehicle maintenance and repairs. They interpret the customer’s needs, translate technical information, and manage the service process from intake to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns or requests.
    • Record details of vehicle symptoms and service history.
    • Explain recommended maintenance or repairs in understandable terms.
  • Service Coordination:
    • Create repair orders and assign work to technicians.
    • Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of services.
    • Communicate updates and additional repair needs to customers.
  • Sales & Administration:
    • Provide cost estimates and get approvals.
    • Upsell recommended maintenance services.
    • Process payments and close service orders.
    • Maintain accurate service records.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Verify that repairs were completed correctly.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints or follow‑ups.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong automotive knowledge (mechanical and technical understanding).
