Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our cleints refuse collection team. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and safe waste collection across designated routes, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable community.

Responsibilities

• Must also be able to do refuse loading when needed
• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

Working Hours

7am to 3.30pm, Monday - Friday

What you'll need to succeed

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to undertake tasks
• Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
