Job summary

Stagecoach Chesterfield is seeking a PCV Day Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of modern vehicles, with on-site work at the Chesterfield depot.

You will work Monday to Friday, 37–40 hours per week, with training on electric vehicle modernization and a structured development programme.

Salary £17–£21.50 per hour, plus a £1,200 joining bonus, and a range of employee benefits including pension, health support and travel perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• NVQ Level 3 in engineering preferred.
• Able to work full-time Mon-Fri and travel to depot as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Stagecoach fleet including petrol/diesel and EV components.
• Diagnose faults and implement repairs on-site or at the depot.

We’ll need you to Have some form of vehicle engineering background, we’re not picky though this could be in bus, truck, rail, farm or automotive – if it moves, it’s good experience. Be passionate about what you do and want to deliver high standards of engineering maintenance and repairs. Preferably have an appropriate level 3 engineering NVQ, this isn’t essential though we can provide training where necessary if you’re right for the role. £16.00 - £20.50 per hour depending on experience.
