HGV Technician Wanted – No Nonsense, Just Real Engineering

We’re looking for a reliable HGV Technician to join our team. If you are experienced with vehicle maintenance, can identify faults efficiently, and are willing to work with your hands, this could be the right opportunity for you.

Our focus is on teamwork and straightforward communication. You will handle routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, with an emphasis on doing the job correctly the first time.

Responsibilities include:

1. Servicing, repairing, and inspecting trucks to keep them in optimal condition.
2. Diagnosing faults accurately and resolving them safely.
3. Performing welding and soldering tasks as needed.
4. Using appropriate tools and recognizing when repairs are necessary.
5. Assisting with heavy lifting tasks.
6. Maintaining honest communication with customers.
7. Documenting work performed using a tablet, ensuring clear records.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Experience working on HGVs and relevant knowledge.
2. Proficiency with hand and power tools (safety first).
3. Welding and soldering skills are a plus.
4. IRTEC or similar qualification preferred.
5. A clean driving license; C+E license is advantageous.
6. Reliable, punctual, with a strong work ethic and common sense.
7. Team-oriented attitude, focused on completing tasks efficiently.
