Job summary

A leading UK transportation company based in Nuneaton is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic for a full-time role at their Hartshill Site. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and servicing different types of vehicles while ensuring compliance with pre-MOT checks. Applicants should have a relevant industry qualification and HGV mechanical experience. This position offers a stable work environment with an average of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Hold an industry recognised qualification.
  • Experience in HGV mechanical work.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, report, repair and service trailers, vehicles, and factory transport.
  • Conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA / VOSA standards.
  • Complete paperwork related to vehicle maintenance.

Position

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified HGV Mechanic at our Hartshill Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working an average of 40 hours per week.

As an HGV Mechanic your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Transport requirements but will include :

  • To inspect, report, repair and service trailers, vehicles, and factory transport.
  • To inspect and conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA / VOSA standards.
  • General garage housekeeping.
  • To complete paperwork in relation to the above tasks.
  • Any other ad hoc duties, as required.
Person
  • Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Hold an Industry recognised qualification, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
  • You should have HGV mechanical experience.
