Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a commercial vehicle dealership in Newark-on-Trent. In this role, you will work in a busy workshop environment performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate should have a City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics. This opportunity offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a respected team.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Experience in a fleet or dealership environment.
  • C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake maintenance, repairs and major overhauls.
  • Complete standard servicing and diagnostics.
  • Follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion.

HGV Mechanic

Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Money: £19.50 per hour + Overtime paid at £29.25
Hours: 6am - 2pm (week 1) & 2pm - 10pm (week 2) Monday-Friday

The client is a commercial vehicle dealership; they are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team at their state of the art depot.

About your new HGV Mechanic Job role

As an HGV Mechanic you will be based in a busy workshop environment and will be required to undertake all levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics.
You must be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion.

The successful HGV Mechanic must have the following attributes & will receive:
  • Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a HGV Mechanic in a fleet or dealership environment.
  • Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
