Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's main dealership in Kentish Town. The successful Vehicle Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models.

Location: Kentish Town
Salary: £42,558 per annum plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:30 - 22:00 shift. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£50 per attendance) and Sunday (£100 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable. Hours: 39.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • You will need to have experience as a vehicle mechanic and a relevant and up to date qualification for HGV level 2 or above. We will consider level 3 IMI (or equivalent) vehicle Mechanics and will skill you up to HGV.
  • You will be a person who takes great pride in your work.
  • You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot.
  • A full UK driving licence - no more than 9 points or bans on the licence
