HGV Highways Operative

Our clients are looking for an HGV Barrier repair Operative to join their hardworking dedicated team in Exeter and Bristol

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team undertaking Highways barrier repairs.
• Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
• Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the for the day to day tasks set.
• Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.

Essential Skills

• Clean HGV driving License maximum 2 x SP30.
• A commitment to Health and Safety.
• Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers day or night.
• CSCS Card.

Desirable Skills

• Highways experience.
• Barrier experience
• New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA).
• Operative Accreditation Lantra 12d.

Rate of Pay

• £13.00-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.
• These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from.
• Accrued Holiday Pay from day one.
• Pension contributions (after a qualifying period).
• Weekly Pay.
• No Umbrella payments or fees.
• Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.
