Job summary

A leading logistics company in Scotland is seeking an experienced HGV Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a modern fleet of vehicles. The role requires a valid Class 1 (C+E) license, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Working as a HGV Fleet Mechanic

You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work, on a modern fleet of vehicles. As such, you will also be responsible for:

  • Completing inspections and identifying problems and raising these with the Workshop Manager
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs
  • Completing any relevant paperwork and maintaining records of all work carried out
  • Following all company policies and procedures, particularly related to health and safety
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
To be successful in this role

You will have previous experience in servicing and maintaining HGVs. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

  • A valid Class 1 ( C+E) license
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
