Greenhous DAF Tamworth is seeking a reliable Driver / Yard Person to support day-to-day operations at our Willenhall depot. The role covers driving, yard movements, and basic vehicle checks, with regular hours Mon–Fri 6:00–14:30 and a 40-hour week.

The position offers a permanent contract, a £12.71 per hour salary, and benefits including holiday entitlement and pension. You will work as part of a team with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and HGV licence.
• Previous driving or yard experience preferred.
• Strong awareness of health & safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles between depots and customer sites.
• Collection and delivery of vehicles, parts, and paperwork as required.
• Managing vehicle movements within the yard.
• Maintaining a tidy, safe, and organised yard area.
• Basic vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Supporting workshop and site operations when required.

Job description

Greenhous DAF is looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / Yard Person to join our team at our Willenhall depot. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy commercial vehicle site.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00 am to 2.30 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving company vehicles between depots and customer sites.
• Collection and delivery of vehicles, parts, and paperwork as required.
