Job summary

Motus Commercials in Carlisle are seeking a Driver & Support Operative to join our team. You will handle loading/unloading, vehicle collection and delivery, and assist technicians while maintaining a safe, tidy yard.

Applicants should hold an HGV Class 1 license, be a clear communicator, and have knowledge of the local area; forklift licence is an advantage and training is provided. Generous benefits include refer-a-technician and sales-lead rewards, plus holiday entitlements.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence required
• Forklift licence advantageous (training provided)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of local area
• Experience in a workshop or automotive environment preferred
• Strong attention to Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Load/unload test weights using forklift/pallet truck for break testing
• Present vehicles for MOT testing
• Collect and deliver customer vehicles
• Maintain workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and safety
• Organise truck parking in the yard
• Steam clean vehicles for MOT testing
• Carry out minor site repairs where possible
• Assist Technicians as required
