Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use onboard technology to document work.
  • Maintain and clean public areas including streets and alleys.
  • Remove all fly tipped waste and perform regular bin emptying rounds.
  • Efficiently complete paperwork and comply with health and safety procedures.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
  • Maintain and clean public areas including cleansing of streets, channels, footpaths, alleys, subways, under and around street furniture using equipment supplied.
  • To remove any & all fly tipped waste / leaves / litter /weeds-detritus as well as regular bin emptying rounds.
  • Perform duties in an efficient & effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity.
  • To accurately complete appropriate forms/paperwork or electronic tablet allocated work.
  • Comply with any site conditions ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and appropriate Veolia PPE is worn at all times.
  • Report locations of any fly tipping, graffiti, fly posting as well as damaged/missing litter bins.
  • Drivers and side hands are responsible for ensuring that at the end of the shift the vehicle cab is left clear of all litter, uniform and personal effects.
  • Report any accidents that occur during your shift to the manager and all accident reports are completed before you leave work.
  • Full training will be provided and will be working mainly outside in all weathers.
Essential Qualifications
  • Class 2 Driving Licence
  • An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as a team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable, including experience of driving in the area.
  • Experience in a similar role would be highly desirable.
