Job summary

Scania Fareham is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to supervise the ATF lane, ensuring equipment is ready and compliant while assisting with vehicle preparation and maintaining a safe testing environment for all HGVs. The role demands good communication with testers and customers and a strong attention to safety in a fast-paced setting.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30, with an hourly rate up to £16.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E (Class 1) licence required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful.
• Good communication with testers and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

Scania Fareham has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HGV Driver to supervise our ATF (Authorised Testing facility) Lane. You will support the smooth operation of vehicle testing lanes, ensuring equipment is ready and compliant, assisting with vehicle preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient testing environment. You will be responsible for the safe moving of all HGV vehicles in the testing environment.

Skills and qualification for this role:

• HGV C+E (Class 1 License Required)
• Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful.
• Good communication skills to interact with testers and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
