Job summary

EMS Healthcare is seeking reliable HGV drivers to deliver, set up and support mobile medical units across the UK. This hands-on role combines driving with unit assembly and on-site support, ensuring each unit is ready for clinical teams to work safely.

You'll drive various HGVs, position units, and support on-site operations while adhering to drivers’ hours. Regular nights away are paid; occasional evenings and weekends apply.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 driving licence.
• Safe, professional driver with a good attitude.
• Comfortable working away from home.
• Customer-focused and able to work on your own or as part of a team.
• Happy with hands-on work outside the cab.
• Ensure on site risk assessments, site surveys are conducted and all records are submitted promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up and support mobile medical units across the UK.
• Drive rigid vehicles, Side Loader and Class 1 HGVs to sites.
• Position and set up mobile medical units.
• Support on-site operations and pack down after deployment.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and minor maintenance.
• Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and road-ready.
• Complete driver paperwork and stay compliant with Drivers' Hours & WTD.
• Conduct site surveys for potential unit builds and yard-based preparation between deployments.
